400,000 Cribs Recalled

We do not carry this brand of cribs, but we wanted to make everyone aware of this recall. About 400,000 Simplicity drop-side cribs have been recalled for posing a suffocation risk. Last year the company recalled 600,000 drop-side cribs with similar defects.

"Cribs that were fixed after the 2007 recall to hold the drop side in place are safe, according to the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission). But cribs recalled Thursday ( July 2, 2009) or last September do not have a fix and can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund, replacement or store credit." Chicago Tribune , July 3, 2009
